What we do

The Baldock Society aims to provide a united voice on issues affecting the town.

The Committee meets on a monthly basis to review planning applications, local consultations and any other matters affecting Baldock. On behalf of the membership, the Committee offers its comments to the relevant authorities where it considers necessary.

General meetings are normally held on the third Thursday evening of each month (except December), at Baldock Community Centre. There, members can enjoy talks on a wide variety of interesting subjects (see our events) and as well as find out about issues affecting Baldock that the Committee have identified. Meetings offer the opportunity for members to air their views on these, and to ask the Committee to make representations to the authorities.

Members are also invited to submit details of local issues they identify on a Town Monitoring Form. In this way, members can be the eyes and ears of the town, and help the Committee identify local issues of importance.
